We want to interview network administrators with at least 2 years? experience to support continuing expansion.
Job Description Summary
Choopa Network Administrators provide optimized network performance to clients around the globe, around the clock.
Day-to-day duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Setup and maintenance of new and existing network equipment (e.g., Cisco Catalyst 35xx, 35xx, 49xx, 65xx)
- Managing client IP allocations
- Interaction with clients via email, tickets, and phone
- Troubleshooting performance/speed issues, providing timely resolution
- Following up to ensure client satisfaction
- Making contributions to organizational knowledge base
- Collaboration with teammates
Baseline Technical Qualifications
- 2+ years? networking and experience in Linux/Unix administration (5 years is a plus)
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of local and wide area network technologies and topologies, including VLANs, 802.1Q, 802.3ad, and LACP
- Has a working knowledge of logical network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Is a team player
- Capable of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Delivers comprehensive technical assessments on proposed solutions
- Able to interface with upstream providers and facility management
- Demonstrates initiative
- Willing to be on-call as required to address high priority/emergency situations
- Has experience with BGP, OSPF and MPLS
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Other Pluses include
CCNA certification
Demonstrable Advanced *nix SysAdmin experience
Demonstrable Brocade/Foundry equipment experience (FastIron, TurboIron, NetIron)

- Able to conduct independent research and present solutions
This is an in-house, full time position. Must be willing to rotate ?on call? responsibilities as necessary.
